ConnectU Too
More Facebook pwnage and schadenfreude. Is it possible the founder of the company is as bad as this outpouring of internet bile makes him sound?
...I watched Zuckerberg screw over his users again and again in terms of
privacy, and I heard about the stories of him screwing over his former
employers at ConnectU and his early partners at Facebook. The money quote from Business Insider’s scoop comes from Zuckerberg
himself: “they made a mistake haha. They asked me to make it for them.
So I’m like delaying it so it won’t be ready until after the facebook
thing comes out.” He stalled and sandbagged ConnectU–then
Zuckerpunched them! Of course, the person he said this to was his
partner–Eduardo Saverin–who he reportedly screwed as well.
ConnectU was a Harvard chat utility Zuckerberg was allegedly supposedly working on at the same time he was developing Facebook. Hard to believe this silliness evolved into the great political organizing tool of the late '00s: "we're going to stop [the war/sweatshops/environmental spoilage] with a Facebook group! Yeah it's basically a private networking tool for Skull and Bonesmen but c'mon, everyone's on it."
