the foreground drawing is by sarcoptiform (whose flickr stream would be in my top ten if I'd known about it--amazing work and a great eye)
the background is a collage of mine (a small detail) photographed by Travis Hallenbeck in my studio and also posted to flickr (cropped, lightened, rotated)
four collages
or quilts, or mosaics, made with Xacto, scissors, tape, and computer-drawn home printer output. have been working on this series for years, am somewhat embarrassed to admit. these four gelled for me in a way others haven't.

more work in process - the struts in the printed version to the right are being cut out and inlayed, mosaic-fashion, into the collage on the left. made the struts longer than needed in the printed version to have some overage to avoid gaps in the mosaic.
