Sinebeats and sidbeats. Adding an "e" to the ends of words really classes them up, I thinke.

"Round the Middle" [mp3 removed]

This was going to be "RMV Study No. 3" but it needed a piano part; the rhythm alone wasn't carrying it. The basic meter is a drum and bass midi groove that I assigned various (mostly) synthesized hits to. The three note bass part was created using the Reaktor Sinebeats synth.

Update, March 2010: Remixed and reposted. One of those bass notes was way too loud for the mix.

"Devine Hummer" [mp3 removed]

A Reaktor preset that I'm guessing Richard Devine did on contract for them. Variations I did: slight timbral and melodic adjustments every four bars, then a pad, then some beats that work slightly against the groove. Miami art bass made nerdy. Am in awe of the high pitched "scratch" sounds RD made using delay.

"RMV Study No. 2" [mp3 removed]

This will probably be expanded into a more structured song. After working on the bass realized some of the notes on "Study 1" need to be redone--they're clipping or something. (Done--made the track quieter.)
