"Riveter (Remixed)"

"Riveter (Remixed)" [mp3 removed]

I redid this piece, originally posted in Sept '05; it has more percussive bits and a rather lush melody at the beginning and end with a lot of transposed chords (a Reaktor preset considerably EQ'd). It's still a fairly harsh and abstract techno piece but warmed up with that electro rendition of a '60s pop plucked string section.

"Love Reconstituted"

"Love Reconstituted" [mp3 removed]

Took two piano chords from an early '90s minor house hit that I have always loved (it has "love" in the title) and reconstructed the vamp with slightly different timing--but not much, this is an adoring homage. The piano part comes at the end of this otherwise fairly atmospheric and mellow *art piece*.

Beats Only Sketchbook

"Krypt 112-115 (Beat Only - 100 bpm)" [mp3 removed]

I told someone recently that I was going to turn into the Net version of the guy out banging pots on the street (but not as loud). All these "sketches" were made in Reaktor. The SQP is a very basic piano roll midi sequencer; these are all my notes (no loops) but the Memory Drum and Beatslicer ROMplers have some modulation presets. Krypt has its own sequencer but again, these are my notes--not that it matters that much. "SQP Beatslicer" was used as background texture in "Slow and Fast Zombies"; "Krypt 112-115" was previously posted with an overlaid melody. "Krypt 116-121 (100 bpm)" comes the closest to being a complete piece to me. I can't figure out what else to do with it at the moment.

"Soft Clip Nation"

"Soft Clip Nation" [mp3 removed]

Almost entirely analog; the polyphonic chord is my patch. There's actually not that much clipping, I just really like that title. This song is much more cheerful than I was when I wrote it, so, so much for art reflecting emotions.

Update, April 2011: Maximized the volume and re-uploaded.
