The Verge on teens quitting Facebook (except they aren't)

Hey, Verge, your tracking pixel is showing.
But anyway, the article in question merits a skim: an interview with Danah Boyd, author of the book It's Complicated: The Social Lives of Networked Teens.

If the only question you care about is "when is Facebook over" the interview comes up short. Boyd says, arrestingly, "the era of Facebook is an anomaly" and that's the quote The Verge uses for its headline but elsewhere she says "I don’t think people are quitting Facebook. There’s quitting Facebook and there’s just not making it the heart and center of your passion play," which isn't very exciting.
